Customize WhatsApp Message Templates

Define personalized WhatsApp message templates using dynamic variables for various order events.

Steps:

Navigate to the Notification Tab:

  • Go to WooCommerce > WA Notification > Notification Tab.

Add a New Notification:

  • Click “Add Another.”
  • Select a trigger (e.g., New Order, Completed Order).
  • Enter the exact Template Name (must match the approved name from your WhatsApp provider).

Add Template Parameters:

  • Header Parameters: Add dynamic values such as:
    order_id → {order_id}
    customer_name → {customer_name}
  • Body Parameters: Include:
    product_title → {product_title}
    order_total → {order_total}
    Other supported tags: {order_status}, {customer_phone}, {order_date}, etc.

Use the Sync Templates Button:

Click “Sync Templates” to fetch your latest approved templates from the provider.

Save the Notification:

Don’t forget to enable the notification and click “Save.”

Pro Tips:

  • Always match template field names exactly as required by the WhatsApp provider.
  • You can create separate messages for different order events for better targeting.
