Minimum cart total after discount allows you to set a minimum order value that must be met AFTER coupons and discounts are applied. This ensures profitability even when customers use discount codes or promotional offers.
How to Configure
Step 1: Navigate to General Settings
- Go to WooCommerce > Min Max Quantities > General
- Scroll to the Discount/Coupon Settings section
Step 2: Set Minimum Total After Discount
Enter the minimum order value required after discounts are applied.
Step 3: Save Changes
Click Save Changes to apply the setting.
How It Works
Example 1: Prevent Deep Discount Losses
Configuration:
Minimum Total After Discount: $25
Scenario:
Cart Subtotal: $60
Coupon: 50% off
Discounted Total: $30
Check: $30 ≥ $25 ✓ (Allowed)
Why: Ensures minimum $25 revenue even with 50% coupon
Example 2: Wholesale with Discounts
Configuration:
Minimum Total After Discount: $500
Scenario:
Cart Subtotal: $700
Wholesale Discount: 30% off
Discounted Total: $490
Check: $490 ≥ $500 ✗ (Not allowed)
Need: $715 subtotal (with 30% off = $500.5) or remove discount
Why: Maintain minimum $500 order even with wholesale pricing
