PluginEver builds WordPress and WooCommerce plugins trusted by 30,000+ store owners to boost sales, streamline operations, and grow online. This documentation covers everything you need to get up and running, including installing free and premium plugins and activating your license key.
This section is the right place to begin if you have just purchased a plugin or are setting up PluginEver products for the first time.
System Requirements
All PluginEver plugins (both free and premium) require the following minimum environment. Running on older versions may cause unexpected behaviour or make features unavailable.
| Component | Minimum Version | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| PHP | 7.4 | 8.0 or higher |
| WordPress | 5.0 | Latest stable |
| MySQL | 5.6 | 8.0 or higher |
| WooCommerce | Any current version | Latest stable |
How PluginEver Plugins Work
Most PluginEver plugins follow a Freemium model: a free version is available on WordPress.org, and a premium version adds advanced features on top of it.
- The free version is the core plugin. It is installed from WordPress.org and provides the essential functionality.
- The premium version is an add-on. It extends the free version with Pro features and requires the free version to be present and active.
- A license key is issued with every premium purchase. It must be activated on your site to unlock Pro features and receive updates.
In This Section
The Getting Started section contains three guides. Follow them in order if you are setting up a premium plugin for the first time.
1. Installing a Free Plugin
Learn how to install a free PluginEver plugin on your WordPress site using the admin dashboard search, a ZIP file upload, or FTP. This guide also covers how to confirm the plugin is active and how to troubleshoot common installation problems.
2. Installing a Premium Plugin
Learn how to download your purchased plugin from your PluginEver account and install it on your WordPress site via the admin dashboard or FTP. This guide covers both methods and includes troubleshooting for common installation issues.
3. Activating Your License
Learn how to find your license key (from your purchase email or your account dashboard) and activate it on your WordPress site to unlock all Pro features. Includes troubleshooting for the most common activation problems.
Recommended Setup Order
If you are setting up a premium plugin for the first time, follow this order to avoid common problems:
- Confirm your environment meets the System Requirements above.
- Install and activate WooCommerce if it is not already on your site.
- Install and activate the free version of the plugin from WordPress.org.
- Install and activate the premium version of the plugin from your PluginEver account.
- Activate your license key to unlock all Pro features.
