How to Configure Coupon Generation

Generate Coupon Options in WC Customer Based Coupon plugin allows you to control when and under what conditions coupons are automatically issued to customers. By leveraging these settings, you can strategically reward customer behavior and encourage future engagement, loyalty, and higher-value purchases.

This guide will walk you through the configuration of coupon generation triggers and their intended use cases.

To configure when coupons should be generated, go to WordPress Dashboard > Marketing > Customer Based Coupon > Generate Coupon

Generate Coupon

You can select one or more coupon generation triggers based on your marketing strategy.

Always Generate Coupon

If you enable this, a coupon will be generated for the customer when they log in or have at least one completed order.

Generate Coupon on Placing Order

When enabled, a coupon is automatically created and assigned to the customer immediately after they place a new order, once the order status is marked as either Processing or Completed.

Generate Coupon on Minimum Order Amount

Activate this trigger to generate a coupon only when the customer’s order total exceeds a specified threshold.
