Restock Notification Not Sending – What to Check
If customers are not receiving restock notifications, here are a few things to verify:
Check General Settings
- Go to WooCommerce > Stock Notifier > General Settings.
- Ensure “Enable Notifier” is checked.
- Ensure “Send Notification on Product Update” is enabled to trigger the notification when product stock is updated.
Email Settings
- Go to the Email Settings tab.
- Ensure both Requesting Stock Email and Back in Stock Email templates are configured correctly.
- Make sure you haven’t disabled email sending in WooCommerce > Settings > Emails.
Product Status
- Ensure the product’s stock status has changed from “Out of stock” to “In stock”.
- The stock quantity should be above zero.
Other Checks
- Test with a known email to see if the email is landing in spam/junk.
- Ensure WordPress is able to send emails by testing with another plugin or contact form.
