How to Configure Settings for WooCommerce Auto Update Cart
The WC Auto Update Cart plugin provides a convenient way for customers to update their shopping cart without manually clicking the “Update Cart” button. This plugin automatically refreshes the cart when customers change the quantity of items, enhancing the shopping experience by streamlining the checkout process.
Before using this plugin, please ensure that the cart page has the classic WooCommerce shortcode enabled.
Step 1: Navigate to the WC Tab Manager
To access and configure the WC Auto Update Cart plugin settings:
- From your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to WooCommerce > WC Auto Update Cart to create a new custom tab.
Step 2: Configuring the Plugin Settings
Once you are in the WC Auto Update Cart settings tab, you will find the following options:
2.1: General Settings
Under the General tab, you can enable or disable the auto-update feature and customize the visibility of the “Update Cart” button.
Enable Auto Update Cart
- Toggle the check box Enable/Disable auto-update cart to activate/deactivate this feature.
This option allows the cart to update automatically whenever a customer changes the quantity of an item. Enable this feature to improve customer experience by reducing clicks and streamlining the cart update process.
Hide “Update Cart” Button
- Click the checkbox Show/Hide the “Update Cart” button from the cart page.
Hides the “Update Cart” button from the cart page when auto-update is enabled, as it is no longer needed. Enable this option to create a cleaner and more user-friendly cart page.
Step 3: Save Changes
After configuring the settings, click the Save Changes button to apply your preferences.
Configure Advance Settings
The Advanced Settings tab allows you to manage data retention for the WC Auto Update Cart plugin. This setting is helpful when you need to uninstall the plugin and make sure no data is left behind.
Enable the checkbox to Delete plugin data if you want to delete all related data upon uninstalling the plugin.
