If you prefer to offer an incentive instead of charging a fee, you can apply discounts when customers upload files. This can be useful for promotions or for encouraging customers to submit required documents.
Navigate to Discount Settings
Go to WooCommerce > Checkout Files > Fees & Discounts and scroll down to the Discount Settings section.
Enable Discounts
Turn this option on to apply a discount whenever a customer uploads a file. Once enabled, the discount will be added to the cart automatically based on your configuration.
Discount Label
Set the label that will appear on the checkout page. Choose a short and clear name so customers understand why the discount was applied.
Discount By
Choose how the discount should be calculated:
- Per File – A discount applied for each uploaded file.
- Per Product – A discount applied once for each product requiring a file upload.
- Only Once – A single discount applied to the entire order.
Discount Type
Decide whether the discount should be:
- Fixed Amount – A set value deducted from the order.
- Percentage – A percentage based on the product or order total.
Discount Amount
Enter the value for your discount. This can be a fixed number or a percentage, depending on the type you selected.
Save Changes
Click Save Changes once you’re done. Your discount rules will now apply whenever file uploads are detected.
