Add New Campaign (Free Version)

The WC Donation Manager plugin allows you to effortlessly create and manage donation campaigns. This section guides you through creating a new campaign using the plugin.

Steps to Create a New Campaign

  1. Navigate to the Campaign Page
    • From the WordPress dashboard, go to the Donation menu in the left-hand menu bar.
    • Select Campaign from the submenu to access the Campaign Management page.

  1. Click the Add New Button
    • On the Campaign page, click the Add New button to open the campaign creation form.
  2. Fill Out the Campaign Form
    • Complete the form fields to configure your new campaign. Below are the field details:

Campaign Form Fields

  1. Campaign Name
    • Description: Enter the name of the campaign. This name will be displayed to donors.
    • Example: “Save the Rainforest.”
  2. Cause
    • Description: Enter the cause or purpose of the campaign. This helps donors understand the campaign’s objective.
    • Example: “Protect endangered wildlife habitats in the Amazon rainforest.”
  3. Goal Amount
    • Description: Specify the target donation amount for the campaign.
    • Example: “5000” (representing $5000).
  4. End Date
    • Description: Set the end date for the campaign. Use the mm/dd/yyyy format.
    • Example: “12/31/2024.”
  5. Status
    • Description: Select the status of the campaign. Choose Publish to make the campaign active and visible to donors.
    • Options:
      • Publish: The campaign is live and accepting donations.
      • Draft: The campaign is saved but not visible to donors.

Finalizing the Campaign

Once all fields are filled out, click the Add Campaign button to create the campaign.

Notes:

  • Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.  Ensure these are filled out before saving.
  • Double-check the campaign details for accuracy, especially the goal amount and end date, as they impact donor engagement.
